The Survivor’s Nest – Thanksgiving Quotes

I’m taking today off to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. Before I close down shop for the long weekend, I thought I’d share a few Thanksgiving quotes to ponder with your turkey:Dear Lord; we beg but one boon more: Peace in the hearts of all men living, peace in the whole world this Thanksgiving. Joseph Auslander

Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence. Erma Bombeck

Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse. Henry Van Dyke

My cooking is so bad my kids thought Thanksgiving was to commemorate Pearl Harbor. Phyllis Diller

Pride slays thanksgiving, but an humble mind is the soil out of which thanks naturally grow. A proud man is seldom a grateful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves. Henry Ward Beecher

To give thanks in solitude is enough. Thanksgiving has wings and goes where it must go. Your prayer knows much more about it than you do. Victor Hugo

I come from a family where gravy is considered a beverage. Erma Bombeck

Thanksgiving, man. Not a good day to be my pants. Kevin James

To all of my U.S. readers, I hope you have a wonderful and very happy Thanksgiving!

Halftime=twelve minutes. As

Halftime=twelve minutes. As I listen to A game in the background and know my son’s “plan” is to travel in between quarters or at the half…. I’m still laughing!!

Hope your day is wonderful…

Love,
